He’s back in the News

The Northwestern University women’s lacrosse championship team took their tour of the White House last week. Controversy followed when the official photograph showed that some of the women were wearing flip-flops. Family members of the offending team members were incredulous that they would wear so casual an item to the White House, which is rumored to have a strict dress code.

Some of the women defended their actions in that they wore “classy” flip-flops. They had rhinestones in them. And of course, nothing says style quite like sparkle, sparkle.

Quick question: How many of you knew Northwestern had won the women’s lacrosse national championship?

Trying to enter a Jillians or Dave & Busters (can’t remember which) one night long ago, my girlfriend at the time was turned away because she was wearing ‘sandals’. They were plain black flip-flops. Funny thing is, right ahead of her, another friend of ours was allowed in wearing ‘fashion sandals.’ Rhinestones got her in.
