screen on the green

screen on the green starts next week at the national mall. tips: get there early — parking is a b*tch, bring food & drink, a blanket and bug spray…

otherwise enjoy some golden classics and relax…i do think they should have more horror films…always fun w/ a big crowd…or king kong in anticipation of this years remake

Ah, the Treasure of Sierra Madre is one of the best movies ever. It’d be a great one out on the Mall. If only I didn’t have class that night.

Parking? Why worry about that, I though we’d all be using the DC Circulator for that. Oh wait, it stops at 9pm, sorry.

On a less sarcastic note, I’ve always taken bottles of wine to make it a Party Scene Screen on the Green, and I’m not alone. I’ve had one friend turn a corkscrew request into a date and another make many friends with Jell-O shots. Do leave the tall chairs at home or risk corks thrown at your person.

This year’s best movies, IMHO, are “The Treasure of the Sierra Madre” and “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Wolf?”. Just be sure to dance with the giant Gumby when they play the HBO theme song – its tradition.
