Take That Maryland!

You would think that a state like Maryland which has a larger suburban population than Virginia, would have better educational facilities for its residents. After all, once you go south of Washington’s outer rim, it’s cow country. Don’t forget that The Real South doesn’t start until you’re in Fauquier County!

Not quite say the Education State Rankings. Maryland comes in at No. 18, and Virginia at **drum roll please** 12.

How about that?

That noise you heard is Fairfax County’s property values hopping up another 18%.

Fauquier County? I’d say The Real South starts in Spotsylvania County. Fauquier is more for horse lovers, big estates, and long-distance commuters. Fredericksburg is like the Twilight Zone – there’s plenty of Northern Influence, but it still has a heart of Southernness. Anything south of that is Pure Rural Virginia.
