I'm pretty sure the video element was made by Kraftwerk themselves - they've been DIY since 1969 - added to which the visuals are timed so perfectly that it all feels like a natural extension of their music. I'm also pretty sure that the videos were pre-recorded rather than mixed live as some of them were re-edited versions of videos they used at Coachella. But with Kraftwerk who knows. One of them could very well be mixing the vids live on stage - but with their minimialist stage presence who could tell?

The whole show music/video/lights/robots/glowing suits really comes together to be pretty breathtaking.

So who did their visuals? Was it pre-recorded or did they have a VJ off to the side syncing the music live?

I saw the tickets on sale at 930.com, and I really really thought about going, but I just couldn't justify the $40/head cost right now. Glad to know it totally rocked.

Awesome. I'm going tonight, I can't wait. Oh, and by the way... hi, I'm Jason, your DC guest-blogger. I just arrived in town. Nice to meet you.
