Bethesda Eats

I made my first trip to Bethesda last weekend to see a movie at the Landmark Theater. While there a friend and I happened upon Tastee Diner, which is a great classic diner w/ juke boxes at the wooden booths, and great diner food. I got a double cheeseburger (huge) and bread pudding/coffee for dessert. My friend got a turkey melt and chili fries, which were also greasy and great. She also got a chocolate shake which was large and thick. I highly recommend this place, especially since the District is so Diner-less. The prices are cheap and it’s open 24 hrs.

Also, although I didn’t eat there on this trip I saw that Bethesda has an Original House of Pancakes! Do NOT think IHOP, this place is a million times better. I highly recommend the apple pancake. This bad boy eats like a meal. Plan to share it. Almost everything this place serves is great. Also try their Dutch Babies and huge omelets.

I discovered the O-HOP in Falls Church about a month ago. I think I’m in love…
