17th annual Great Strides walk

The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation holds a Great Strides walk every year to raise money for research, therapies, and treatments. The D.C. chapter organizes walks in many locations, including Bon Air Park in Arlington and Cherry Hill Park in Falls Church. The walk in D.C. was on May 4th, but there are two walks left, on May 21st and 22nd. Locations for the 21st are Falls Church, Arlington, Rockville, Waldorf, and Winchester; locations for the 22nd are Centreville, Leesburg, and Great Falls. Both volunteers and walkers are needed. My senior year of high school, our National Honors Society did the Falls Church walk – it’s not long, and since you see so much of the city, it’s like a sight-seeing trip. You can bring your kids and dogs along. For more info, visit the CFF’s page on Great Strides.
