DC Transportation

So, to continue the discussion about metro area transportation, NPR’s “Morning Edition” ran a story about how successful the London congestion tax has been. It’s raised revenue for the city, which has been pumped into public transport and greatly reduced congestion in the “city of London.”

Also, there’s an article in the Washington Post about FlexCar/ZipCar (Registration required), the companies which let you rent a car by the hour. I think these are great companies and hope they can be successful. The Post mentions that Washington is the only major metro area where there’s actually competition among these services.
