What’s the deal with comedians at the Kennedy Center?

Jerry Seinfeld will be bringing his stand up to the Kennedy Center on June 24 & 25th. Tickets are $51 – $81, and I can tell you it will be money well spent. I’ve seen a lot of stand up comedy in the past couple of years, and Seinfeld still holds the crown in my book (and yes, that’s over Chris Rock, Jon Stewart, and Dave Chappelle). But you don’t have to believe me, Tom Shales’ review of Jerry’s last Kennedy Center appearance said it was similar to seeing Michael Jordan in his prime.

Tickets go on sale Friday, April 1 to Kennedy Center members and April 15 to the general public. He sold out all four shows last time, so I wouldn’t wait too long if you want to go. Unfortunately, you won’t see me there as I’m out of the country that weekend, but I expect a full report.
