Heya, I'm not speaking badly about computer gamers, it's cool to me. I'm just saying, that for a lot of people its too much hassle, and its less comfortable.

That being said, I couldn't care less about the 1 player Halo 2 game, I never played the first Halo besides at parties, and I haven't played this one besides online, to me its a multiplayer game, and thats it hehe :)

ha, i know female gamers are few and far between -- at least in a public capacity -- so thanks for your support. in any case, don't judge my posting based on gender...if you want to voice a different opinion, by all means, let her rip. for a lively discussion on women gamers and women in gaming, check out the the igda's women_dev forum.

I just realized this...Narni you're female? And a gamer? I forgive your shameless Halo2 posting...post all you want about video games. We need more female gamers, ahhaha. And you know about Half-Life 2? Good deal.

I used to coordinate LAN parties back at Purdue...I actually had one female gamer every now and then.

Cheers.

one thing to be said about half-life 2 is the ability to digitally download the game. no waiting in lines or midnight releases. cheaper than in-store and you can upgrade to silver or gold and get counter-strike and all sortsa fancy stuff.

the u.s. is slowly catching up w/asia. i can't believe xbox live isn't pushing this more...

Jason, don't spread stereotypes about PC gaming. No, it doesn't take $1,500 to build a "gaming computer," and no you don't have to use it just for gaming. Computers are a tool that everybody uses on a daily basis. One of the benefits of PC gaming is that it can be enjoyed on fast computers and slow ones too. Most people have a computer that's FAST enough to play games, they just don't have a 3d video card, which can be purchased for less than $100. Even at that cost, you'll have better graphics than an XBOX, GC, or PS2. And I don't sit two inches from my screen either. I play alot of sports/racing games alone and with friends, and I use a PC controller (out of 20 or 30 models to choose from) to do it.

I hope you had fun with Halo 2, because it was only about a 10 hour game. Meanwhile, I'm enjoying Half-Life 2, which IMOH is the best first-person-shooter (Same category as Halo2) ever created. It offers over 20 hours of gaming at the same cost as Halo 2.

Halo 2, IMHO is a good game, regardless that it's on a console. There are very many of us "non-hardcore" gamers who prefer a console over a computer. Why? Because computer's are a hell of a lot more complicated, you have to get new graphics cards, new processors etc etc all the time to play the newest hot game. This isn't even touching on money. I am very very broke. $150.00 XBox = affordable, $1500.00 gaming computer != affordable. And how about comfort? I know, personally, I'd rather be sitting on a couch, or a recliner, away from my screen, sitting comfortably, while having fun, rather than hunched over a keyboard 2 inches from the screen.

Halo 2 is for us people who like fun over serious "hardcore" gaming. I doubt anyone thinks its "cool" and got it for that reason. And if they did, well, shame on them. I got it because its fun, plain and simple. Which is what gaming is all about.

Dude, screw computers, where you need a new one every 3 months to keep up with the gaming tech. My X-box still looks gorgeous (more so with the HDTV kit) after 3 years!

Narni, we so need to have a Halo 2 party thingy. I'm totally there.

But you're forgetting - thanks to MTV, Xbox and Halo 2 are "cool".
