i checked out a new weekday happy hour at firefly ^[1] last nite. from 4:30 to 7 PM, firefly offers a themed red and white wine pairing — last night’s wines were from spain — as well as the chef’s special appetizer menu.

the place was quite packed for a wednesday night, but offered a relaxed yet trendy setting amongst nature. as you enter the lounge area, you’re greated by a tree that extends from floor to ceiling. slender birch tree trunks line the walls and are interspersed with amber mood lighting.

overall, if you’re looking for glass of wine with some nice ambiance before dinner, buzz around to firefly.
