It seems to me that people go to farmers' markets precisely because it's not like shopping in some over-sterilized supermarket. It's not like farmers' market patrons have never seen how the samples are prepared... and yet they eat the samples anyway. Why? Because we don't give a rat's ass about soapy water, clean rinse, and sanitizing solution. How I hate bureacracy. Grr.
