Go slow in Falls Church

Falls Church police officers are expected to meet high ticket quotas in order to maintain favorable performance ratings.
No wonder the speed limit on Route 7 is so low….

This is completely ridiculous. I’ve lived in Falls Church my entire life, and though I’ve never gotten a ticket (um…here), if I did, and I suspected it was because of a quota, you’d better believe I’d fight it as much as I could. These police officers shouldn’t just be traffic cops. There is a huge alcohol and drug problem here, especially among high schoolers, and these cops should be doing what they’re meant to do - dealing with criminal activity rather than writing tickets for minor violations. And if we said we wanted “aggressive traffic enforcement,” I don’t think this is what we meant.
    Rock on, Markus Bristol.

Apparently, the FC police are now denying that they have to reach quotas. I’m not quite sure who I believe.
